Things to Do, Anytime
Local tours and expeditions -- See the jungle, swim with the Dolphins, go on fishing, diving, or dinner cruises, see whales, dolphins just go bird watching. There are lots of tours and trips around Bucerias.
Shop -- There is a lively market in the town square of Bucerias, full of local artists and residents. If you're up for a longer drive, Puerto Vallarta is about 30 minutes away by car, and has a wide selection of shopping opportunities.
Golf -- There are lots of options in the area listed on this link. The golf course at the Four Season’s Resort in Punta Mita, about an hour drive north along the coast, is famed as one of the most luxurious courses in Mexico, each hole has a view of the Bay of Banderas or the Pacific Ocean: http://www.nicklaus.com/design/puntamita/.
Boogie Board, Surf, and Snorkel -- There are plenty of shops on the beach where you can rent or buy your water sport gear of choice. If you're a surfing guru, plan an afternoon in Sayulita, where the waves are consistently great.
